Tucanos Brazilian Grill in Noblesville has closed, five years after opening in Hamilton Town Center.
Officials for the 19-year-old, Provo, Utah-based chain did not return calls for comment on the closure, which took place quietly without an announcement some time over the past 10 days.
Tucanos, a chain with eight remaining restaurants in seven states, also closed its Fort Wayne restaurant, in September.
The Noblesville Tucanos, 13325 Levinson Lane, featured seating for 220 inside and had additional outdoor seating for 50 to 60 patrons. Restaurant officials said they planned to employ just fewer than 150 workers at the location when it opened in 2014.
The restaurant featured churrasco style dining, with fresh meats and vegetables grilled and brought directly to tables on skewers by servers throughout the meal.
The eatery often drew comparisons to Fogo de Chao, which has operated a location in downtown Indianapolis since 2008.
Mall manager Simon Property Group declined to comment on the closure.
